Menopause: How to Thrive Through the Change and Feel Better Than Ever
All 6 of us happy to finally be healthy and able to enjoy beautiful Panama!
Life has been full—starting with a nasty gastro bug that hit all six of us right before (and partly during) our vacation to Panama (once we all got over that, the trip was amazing)! As soon as we got back, we were right in the thick of hockey season wrap-ups for three of our kids. Even though I’m far from a die-hard hockey fan, I really love being there to cheer them on!!
I do my best to practice what I preach when it comes to health and balance, and sometimes that means letting some things go. Unfortunately, the newsletter was one of those things—but I’m excited to be back again this week!
Lately, I’ve been hearing from so many women (and seeing it all over my social media feed too!) about the struggles of menopause—hot flashes, poor sleep, stubborn weight gain, mood swings… the list goes on.
One perspective that really got me thinking is how much energy we spend resisting these changes, wishing our bodies would stay the same as they were before these big hormonal shifts happened.
But just like puberty changes a young girl’s body forever, menopause is another natural major hormonal transition that results in physical changes. The societal focus is on trying to resist those changes. What if we shifted from spending so much time, energy and money on trying to look the same as we did before perimenopause to feeling our best?
I truly believe you can navigate this phase in a way that helps you feel stronger, more energized and keeps you healthy so you can live life to its fullest in this next stage of life . That’s why this month, I’m hosting two events to share strategies that can support your body through menopause—including the most up to date information on nutrition, supplements, and hormone replacement therapy options.
Upcoming Events:
One-Day Retreat at Cedarvale Wellness (Port Elgin, April 26) – A full day of learning, movement, and connection. There are still a few spots available! Get more info and register here
Live Training on Menopause – I’ll be going live on the Taylor Danielle Instagram page (@taylordanielleboutique) on April 16 to dive into some key menopause strategies. This is one of my favourite online clothing boutiques that is family-owned and features Canadian fashion for women 40+.
And of course, menopause continues to be a big focus in my work with both my naturopathic patients and FASTer Way clients. My goal is to help you create the healthiest version of yourself—not by chasing who you were before, but by embracing who you are becoming.
If you’re ready to feel your best in this season of life, I’m here to support you. I want to make sure this newsletter gives you the most helpful, practical support possible. I’d love to hear directly from you about what topics and resources would be most valuable! If you have a moment, please fill out this quick survey—plus, I’ll be giving away some prizes as a thank-you for your time and insight!
