A Healthy Lifestyle for All Seasons

My husband said the other day that I’ve been enjoying quite the summer… and he’s right! I have been having fun taking morning group tennis lessons (I’m a professional lesson taker, I don’t actually “play” tennis), enjoying evening walks by the lake with Muffin, reading lots (I just finished the sweet story, “The Secret Book of Flora Lea”), spending time in our garden, watching our two middle kiddos play lots of baseball and relaxing by evening campfires. I saw Jason Miraz in July and Pink this past week (SO good!!). We spent a couple of nights in Tobermory. We have visited with family. I have enjoyed a lot of delicious food, including some ice cream (chocolate peanut butter is my go to flavour!), and sometimes an Old Fashioned or glass of Rose…or two. I am enjoying having enough energy all day at 48 to do what I want to and need to. It has truly been a sweet summer… and it’s not over yet!

Given that I’ve been living the life, I was pleasantly surprised to try on my jeans when it was cooler last week and find that they fit more comfortably than they did when I last wore them in the spring! I attribute that largely to having the FASTer Way lifestyle as a framework to follow.

It’s been 6 years since I started with this approach, and I love being reminded of how progress over perfection with it creates positive change while living a “real” life.

I have definitely not been “perfect” in living a healthy lifestyle over the summer, but here’s what I have been doing:

  • mostly eating the quick and easy recipes from the FASTer Way app

  • drinking my water goal

  • getting 10K steps most days

  • prioritizing 7-8 hours of sleep most nights

  • being active 5 days a week

I have seldomly tracked my food, but I have been focusing on getting protein with my meals and snacks, and am enjoying eating lots of seasonal fruits and veggies. The 30 minute FASTer Way workouts in the app make it easy for me to fit in strength training when I have time.

Has the fun of summer and the lack of routine thrown you off track from where you would like to be? Are you looking for a healthy lifestyle framework you can follow that fits with the way you want your life to look?

You don’t need to feel restricted or spend hours doing cardio or at the gym to be able to feel confident and healthy and energized.

Let me show you a clear path to follow for the longterm.

In my FASTer Way 6 Week Experience, you will ...

  • Learn how much and what kind of food your body needs to burn fat, build muscle, maintain optimal energy levels throughout the day and balance hormones

  • Receive a weekly meal plan to use as it works for you: either follow it closely, or pick and choose meals (that’s what I do - I often repeat recipes to keep things simple)

  • Learn how to work out in an effective and time efficient way, focused on building muscle to boost your metabolism. Workouts are only 30 minutes, modifications are given, and there’s a new one every day, so you won’t get bored!

  • Have daily access to me as your coach, including 2 check in calls.

  • Be able to access all of the information you need in a convenient app.

What the FASTer Way IS NOT…

  • A deprivation diet.

  • Another quick fix.

  • A complicated meal or workout plan that requires hours of your time in the kitchen or the gym.

Just like the experience I shared, it’s possible to make progress, even while fully enjoying your life. This isn’t a race with a start and finish that you need to do perfectly all the time. This is about establishing a foundation that you can follow consistently. Get started, take the steps you can, and change will start to happen!

My next round starts soon, and I am sharing a special offer with you to save $50US with the code RESET50!!
